What is this?

(Posted by Anna)

Jennie and I decided to start a blog together where we can share things that we want to write about with each other and anyone else who wants to read it.

We'll also be posting our craft projects that we work on. I started knitting in November and crocheting about a month ago. So far I've been making scarves, blankets and most recently monkey and bear hats which are a lot of fun.

Jennie is the sewer. ha ha sewer.. She sews... anyway she likes to take old clothing and redo it to make clothes for her kids. She also makes cute little felt food and bed tents, among other things.

This is a really boring first entry...

For those of you that don't know who we are or maybe know one of us and not the other, here's our story, the shortened version.

We met through mutual friends sophomore year of high school. Jennie doesn't remember meeting me but I remember meeting her. Not until our junior year did we actually start hanging out and even then at first we didn't really like each other. At the time, I thought she was kind of a ditz (which she's not) and she thought I was really obnoxious (still true). One night Jennie found out her boyfriend was cheating on her and all of her real friends were busy or not home, so she came to my house to cry in my bedroom which I plotted to confront her boyfriend and beat the crap out of him. That night, one relationship ended and a new one began.

The rest is history. We were inseparable from that moment on until we graduated. Then we went to separate colleges but reunited 2 years later at OU where we ended up in the same dorm. In 1999 I got married and Jennie was my maid of honor. Then I moved to Maryland. She graduated from college, then got married and moved from Oklahoma to Texas and now lives in Arkansas. I moved from Germany to California to Arizona to Florida and now back to California.

In this time, we both poppped out 3 kids each. I have 3 boys: Holden, Lucas & Asher. Jennie has two boys and a girl: Porter, Parkin and Paden.

We didn't see much of each other over the last few years so we decided it was time to take a trip together last October. We met up in Boston and had a week free of husbands and kids, full of ridiculousness and fun.

So here we are. We don't know if anyone else will read this except for us. But if you like anything you read, please comment and come back and read more!
